We insist on the best…!
Our beef is supplied from the West Country, using a family owned abattoir, renowned for the highest of welfare, using the best of beef producing breeds. The combination of best welfare and provenance, together with our dry-ageing techniques, we achieve amazing and consistent results that have been recognised as exceptional, and led to us being awarded the “Best Steaks in Britain” at the Great British Butchers Awards 2019.
The lamb and pork are also of the highest quality – locally reared grass fed lamb, and free range pork guaranteed to be flavoursome!

The varieties; the choices….
We use the best ingredients, and for decades, have been recognised as one of the best sausage makers in the country. 100’s of awards – local, national and international lay testimony to that…. There will be something for everyone – we even do “vegetarian”!
Poultry, Duck & Local Game
We will always be well stocked with the best local game, in accordance with seasonality guidance, as well as the finest chicken and poultry.
At Christmas and Easter, we will be offering the best of British turkeys, as always from Paul Tanner, the renowned producer from the Boldre, in the New Forest – they are something special..!
In addition, we will always have a selection of home cured and home smoked bacon and gammons, home made pies and deserts, as well as produce from others that we feel fit with our own ethos – MacSweens Haggis for example.
Over the last year or so, we have been experimenting with our own take on the South African classics, Biltong and Drywors.
Nick had a desire to “make” and we had a desire to “make it happen” – the upshot is we have developed some fantastic products, with some recently being recognised at competition level.
